Sr Dainna Baharuddin Director of Basar & Harun Sdn, has been elected as the new President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) for the term June 2022 to June 2023, succeeding Dato' Sr Dr. Azhari Mohamed.
New Deputy President Sr Adzman Shah Mohd Ariffin, Hon. Secretary General Sr Logisvarran Muniandy, Hon. Treasurer General Sr Steven Pang together with 25 RISM Council members were elected at the 61st Annual General Meeting held on Friday 24th June 2022.
RISM President Sr Dainna brings with her 33 years of working experience as a consultant quantity surveyor locally and globally.
She has been serving RISM in various capacities since 1992. She has organised many events for the benefit of members including BIM international Conference and Forum, RISM Young Achievers Award for secondary school students and International Surveying Conference for Undergraduates.
Sr Dainna sat in the Standard Setting Committee of the International Cost Management Standard and RICS Cost Prediction Standards.
In the past 30 years, Sr Dainna has been an active representative of surveyors in industry initiatives and consultations. She has served at the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia and Board of Architect Malaysia.
