Q&A
Q. Since becoming an RISM member in
1982, what are the positions that you
have held?
A. Well Yasmin, there were lots of positions I had held
over the past 34 years as an RISM member. But I
would like to share only meaningful milestones. And
all these developments followed me as I served the
government for 35 years.
While I was serving as the Sarawak Federal Valuer2
in the mid-1980s, the State and Federal valuation
agencies did not enjoy cordial relationships. I
managed to improve this situation by being active
in the RISM Sarawak Branch activities. I gained their
friendship and trust as I was elected the Chair to their
PCVS3 Division Session 1990/1991 and was appointed
by Datuk Ambrose Foo, the then Sarawak RISM Chair
as well as the Sarawak State Director of Lands and
Mines, as the Auditor the following Session.
