12th July 2022
Dear RISM members,
In the name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I humbly pen these lines as the President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia
It is truly my privilege and great pleasure to serve RISM in the interest of the institution and members
The pandemic has been a major stress test for us in causing all to go into survival mode.
The recent ISC2022, AGMs and 61st Anniversary Annual Dinner were much wanted gathering after such a lengthy period of forced absence. The presence of our members at the events prove that we are calibrating ourselves and taking step towards positive change.
With the rapidly changing situations over the recent years beget more actions in 2022/2023 to initiate RISM's move to go beyond 'sustaining' to the extent of ‘re-building itself better’
By way of working together, we can build RISM and the surveying profession better in the midst of today’s chaotic state of the country and its economy.
In doing so, the Council aspire to enhance RISM's visibility while resolute to ensure the good reputation and integrity which remains the cherished trademark of RISM.
There is much work to be initiated for RISM during this 12 month session.
We look forward to the support and cooperation of each and every RISM member for the activities and initiatives by RISM's Council, Divisions and Branches' etc.
However small or large your support, it will go a long way in achieving our goals and noble cause.
Sr Dainna Baharuddin, CQS, FRISM, FRICS
