Dear Fellows and Members,
Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) will be held at RISM Resource Centre (Lower Ground Floor) No.64 & 66, Bangunan Juruukur, Jalan 52/4, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor at 11.00 a.m. on 28th February 2019 (Thursday).
The agenda of the EGM shall be to consider and approve the proposed amendments to the Constitution. Please refer to Appendix I attached for the summary of proposed amendments.
If you are unable to attend the EGM, please complete the attached Proxy Form and return to the RISM Secretariat (original or fax copy) or email to [email protected] not later than 22nd February 2019. Article 34(12) of the Constitution states that: -
“The instrument appointing a proxy shall be in writing in a form prescribed by the Council or as near thereto as possible. A member shall only appoint as his proxy a member who is entitled by the Constitution to exercise a vote at a meeting of the Institution. The proxy shall be valid for use at one meeting only, or for any adjournment of that meeting. The Council shall be entitled to issue and appeal for proxies in favour of the President or his nominee.”
