RISM members renting the venue and/or equipment shall be given a 20% discount from the above cost.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Payment for Venue and Equipment

  1. All payments would need to be settled prior to the date of the event.
  2. The total rental charges to made payable to the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia upon confirmation.
  3. Booking to be made two weeks in advance. Cancellations received less than one week in advance will be subjected to full rental fee.
  4. Requirements for food and beverages to be discussed separately with RISM and not included. Other facilities inclusive in the above charges are the Pre-Function Area (outside the Seminar Rooms and President’s Lounge/Boardroom), Surau and Toilet.
  5. For rental of equipment, the following terms are applicable :-
    1. A deposit of RM300.00 (refundable) to be paid for the above equipment.
    2. All equipment are to be handled in well manner. The equipment shall be operated by RISM Staff and Technician appointed by RISM.
    3. If outside equipment is used, the responsibility for the operation of the equipment rests with the person renting the hall and will not be operated by RISM Staff.
    4. Extra Charges (after office hour) – RM50.00 per hour.
  1. Other Conditions : Users are responsible for the following:-
    1. Keep the premises clean and tidy
    2. Ensure that the premises are used for learned society activities and not for unlawful or political or religious activities.
    3. Ensure that all properties in the premises and in the public areas in the vicinity of the premises are not damaged, disfigured or taken from their locations, failing which the users are to make good in full any repairs or replacements undertaken by RISM.
    4. Ensure that any necessary permits are obtained prior to the event if so required.
    5. Ensure that all decorations made are removed after the event and the chairs, tables, etc rearrange in the original positions.
    6. Indemnify RISM fully against all claims for injury, damage or loss suffered by any use/participant/audience in the event.
  1. The final decision to rent is at the discretion of RISM.
